Having led the Media and Communications division at Midwest Bankers Group, Inc., Chris Stark has successfully developed a solid background in the investment banking industry. In 2003 Chris was able to modify his relationship with the bank, converting from an “employee” to an independent contractor, and launched Stark Capital Solutions. Today, Stark Capital is focused on two primary activities – investment banking and venture capital.
Stark Capital Solutions, in cooperation with Midwest Bankers Group, Inc., provides investment banking services to the communication tower and outdoor advertising industries. The company is also a venture capital firm, helping create and investing in various niche businesses throughout the Midwest. In making investment decisions, Stark has developed eight criteria to evaluate each of its opportunities. For example, the company shies away from making investments in businesses that are highly dependent on human capital to deliver products or services, versus those that are more technology driven.
Given Chris Stark’s business model and the company’s stage of development, Milestone Advisors was a natural fit for the services Stark Capital needed.
